Viktor

Viktor was born in Zaun, also known as the Undercity. As such, like most Zaunites, he was born into poverty. He was born with a disability that affects his right leg, resulting in a permanent need for a crutch, leg and back braces. Despite his disability, it never stopped him from expanding his brilliant mind.As a young man, he was discovered by Heimerdinger - the dean of the Piltover Academy and he was soon appointed as Heimerdinger’s assistant. At 25, he met a fellow scientist by the name of Jayce Talis and helped to expand Jayce’s research into harnessing the arcane through scientific methods. Together, they created HexTech and revolutionised Piltover and brought it into a new era.Ambitious as ever, he strived to find a way not only to cure his own ailments, but to use HexTech to help others - especially those in the Undercity. Through his self experimentations, he learned that combining the Zaun drug Shimmer with his own body and the HexCore - he was able to improve his health and body. Excited by his progress, but out of Shimmer, Viktor carved runes into his own flesh to connect with the HexCore and fully cure himself of everything. However, after this explosive experiment resulted in the death of his assistant, Sky, he hit a new low.After the attack on the Council by Jinx, Viktor was severely injured and on the verge of death. In a desperate bid to try and save Viktor’s life, Jayce brought him to the lab where the HexCore violently began to react to Viktor’s augmentations. After being in a form of stasis, Viktor emerged in a new body - but addled by the HexCore, now contained within him, and his personality changed. He leaves Piltover and takes himself down to the very depths of Zaun to do as he had always wanted - help those who needed most.
